Today, Apple released the newest version of iOS with new functionalities and improvements. It is the first feature update for iOS 6, enhancing services like iTunes Match and Siri.

Besides feature enhancements they also announced some very interesting numbers. The installed base of devices with iOS 6 almost reached the 300 million mark after just 5 months. This is not only good news for Apple, but also great news for us as a company who loves developing for these kind of devices.

300 million installations translate into 60% of all iOS devices sold so far are already running the very latest version of Apple’s mobile operating system. Since with iPass we have built a great service around Passbook, one of many of the great features that come with iOS 6, this is also good news for you and us.

iPass enables the user who to be notified about tickets offered by shops in the vicinity when doing (window) shopping or just having a walk.

Similar to how Apple introduced new features to make their operating system better, we are working hard to enhance iPass to make your (shopping) life better. We are looking forward to making iPass even more useful and exciting for you.
