(Interviewer: Angie)

A Journey from India to Japan: Life, Hobbies, and Studies

Satvik’s favorite thing about his home country is its diverse culture and delicious food. Growing up in India, he enjoyed the variety of flavors and dishes that make his country special. He came to Japan to pursue his undergraduate studies at the University of Aizu. However, his interest in Japan began after hearing stories from his father, who had lived there many years ago.

According to Satvik, life in Aizu is much quieter and more laid-back compared to the bustling streets of Tokyo. He likes the calm atmosphere and enjoys spending his weekends differently depending on the season—going out to eat with friends in the summer and staying indoors during the cold winter. In his free time, he enjoys drawing, cooking, and playing video games. He also likes watching documentaries and trying out new recipes. And among his skills, he is most proud of his ability to draw and cook.

Currently, Satvik is studying Computer Science and will soon start his research on Spiking Neural Networks.
