On April the 8th Ostern was celebrated in Germany.

Ostern (Eastern) is the German name for the Christian feast and holiday celebrating the resurrection of Jesus Christ. It is held on the first Sunday after the first full moon of spring.

It originates back to a spring feast of not only Christian believes, which worships the sun goddess.

Many different regional customs exist to celebrate this feast. Usually they have all in common that “Ostereier” (Easter

eggs) are coloured by children. The Easter eggs and other sweets (like a chocolate Easter bunny) will be placed in secret spots in the garden and the children have to search the Easter eggs and sweets left from Easer bunny.

Also hollow coloured Easter eggs are placed into small trees or branches for decoration.
